Catholic School Fires Deviant to Protect Children — Gender Ideologues Prepare for Legal Battle

Edit: too bad Greydanus won’t be fired. Notice the weaponized, PC Latina strike force picketing the decision. It’s also interesting in light of the great power wielded by the Lavender Mafia in Florida. Cave in 3...2...

MIAMI, FL (WCMH) — Some parents are speaking out after a popular first grade teacher was fired after she posted pictures of her same-sex wedding on social media.
Jocelyn Morffi taught first grade at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic School in Miami for seven years. Last weekend, she married her girlfriend and posted pictures of the ceremony to Facebook. On Thursday, Morffi was fired.
In a letter to parents, Principal Carlota Morales called it a “difficult and necessary” decision. Nearly a dozen parents who had children in Morffi’s class came to the school to protest her firing. The parents called her a “great teacher” and said they were aware that she is openly gay and that it made no difference.
“I’m upset,” parent Christina Lopez told WPLG. “The way they handled this was just unbelievable.”
“What she does at home, that’s none of our concern,” said Ricardo Oviedo, another parent of a child in Morffi’s class. “The fact is, she maintained a high moral standard at school and was inscribing in our kids a sense of community and love.”
Several parents said after meeting with the school administration, they still don’t have a satisfactory explanation for why Morffi was fired.
“You know, to be a Catholic, you’re taught to be forgiving. But if you’re gay, forget about it,” said parent Cynthia Cini. “But love is love.”
A spokesperson for the Archdiocese of Miami told WPLG Morffi “broke the contract she signed when she began teaching at a Catholic school.” Her contract contained a moral turpitude clause.
Morffi’s attorney told WPLG they are considering the next legal steps they can take.
Morffi posted a brief statement to Facebook on Friday addressing the issue:

“This weekend, I married the love of my life and, unfortunately, I was terminated from my job as a result. In their eyes, I’m not the right kind of Catholic for my choice of partner. “

The Case of the Cardinal’s Missing Ring

by Ferdinand Boischot

The great Greek historian Herodotus (484-426 BC) describes in his work Histories of the Persian Wars in a sideline, the touching story of the Ring of Polycrates.

The ring of Polykrates

Polykrates was tyrant and sole ruler of the island of Samos in the Aegean Sea in the 6th century BC. All his undertakings were successful, and he was considered the luckiest man on earth. So that the gods would not be jealous of him, he wanted to do himself a misfortune.

On a boat trip, he threw his extraordinarily beautiful, beloved golden ring into the sea and actually felt mourning. A little later two fishermen caught a big golden fish and brought it as a gift to the tyrant Polycrates. Great was the surprise when the golden ring of the ruler came to light when the fish was gutted.

Polycrates wept a lot, because he knew: The gods will eventually take revenge for this incredible luck.

A little later, Polycrates was fraudulently lured by the Persians to the mainland and died a cruel death.

The ring of Godfried Danneels

Just as unbelievable but completely real is the history of the bishop's ring of Cardinal Danneels.

Danneels, Archbishop of Mechelen-Brussels 1977-2010

The story began on a midsummer Monday afternoon in 1981 in the archiepiscopal city of Mechelen in Belgium. A very pale and slender young man, somewhat neglected, entered a jewelery shop and asked if one could not appraise the ring he had brought.

As a specialist, the jeweler immediately recognized what he was shown, agreed and took the ring to the back room for inspection:

It was the bishop's ring of his Archbishop Godfried Danneels, who had been appointed Archbishop of Mechelen-Brussels and Primate of Belgium in 1977.

Immediately the police were alerted by Mechelen, who had no idea about this. The archdiocesan office had filed neither a loss report nor a burglary or theft.

The police notified the archbishop's secretary, who was very friendly, grateful and courteous, but at the same time well-connected with the circumstances of the apparent loss.

The mysterious case

Later, somewhere in the archiepiscopal palace, a window was found. Godfried Danneels testified that he had heard some noise and had glimpsed two shadowy figures fleeing. The two elderly religious women who also lived in the palace had neither seen nor heard anything.

Nothing was missing except the ring.

According to the cardinal and his direct collaborators, the bishop ring was always on the archbishop's desk. Its disappearance had not been noticed.

Why the lack of one of the most important insignia and pontificals of a bishop1) could go unnoticed for at least several days, and this despite a daily obligation to test remained an open question.

The pale youth was also not very informative.

A very mysterious case with many inconsistencies.

Forgiven and (almost) forgotten

The archdiocese, evidently very happy that the lost piece was back, practiced generous misericordia and wanted to forgive and forget everything and not cause a fuss.

Godfried Danneels
Danneels, Archbishop of Mechelen-Brussels 1977-2010

But that was hardly possible. By now too many people knew about this curious case. Even more annoying was that Danneels, already noticed by other peculiarities and strange contacts and always dealing with sexual issues again, got into a spicy situation.

Danneeel's friends, who defiantly defended the archbishop, came up with the really stupid idea of linking the mysterious emergence of the Archbishop's episcopal ring to a theft story that was belatedly but extensively passed on to the press and spread internationally.

In the following decades of ecclesiastical destruction and cover-up of ecclesiastical and episcopal scandals, the Belgian media were almost completely mainstreamed and above criticism

Of course, that did not work internationally and later with the new media. Paradoxically, it was precisely the press campaign directed by the archdiocese that documented this mysterious Ring story.

The Dutch newspaper Leidse Courant (fully archived on the internet) on Wednesday, July 22, 1981 reported on the theft. The ring had already reappeared then! Such an episode could not hide.

It is also mentioned briefly in the great Danneels biography, which was published in 2015 by his friend and admirer Jürgen Mettepenningen, a well-worn and now married ex-Benedictine monk.

Typical for the era

By the way, the pale young man who cherished the ring never spoke again.

Theoretically, the offense should have been theft / burglary / stealing or participation in it. As Cardinal Danneels said over and over again, and probably until the bitter end (in the Danneels tapes with the abused nephew of his friend and pedophile Bishop of Bruges, Roger Vangheluwe) will say: "One must forgive and forget".

In any case, the story does not announce great respect for the episcopal insignia and the sense of the sacred. Rather, it is typical of Danneel's era: lots of nonsense, heresies and mistakes, all hushed up, glossed over and bent over.

The mafia of Sankt Gallen already had very strange members.

Deacon Greydanus of NCR Gushes About Film Romanticizing Pederasty

Edit: “Deacon” Steve Greydanus, is a “Catholic” movie reviewer.  Here is a description from the deplorable Catholic Answers:

Steven D. Greydanus is the creator of the Decent Films Guide, www.decentfilms.comSteven is film critic for the National Catholic Register and writes regularly for Christianity TodayCatholic World Report and other venues. He is a member of Online Film Critics Society.Steven has contributed several entries to the New Catholic Encyclopedia, including “The Church and Film” and a number of filmmaker biographies. He has also written about film for the Encyclopedia of Catholic Social Thought, Social Science, and Social Policy.
He’s just nutty over the sumptuous, but not too oppositional to “heteronormativity” like Brokeback Mountain, film about a pederast taking advantage of a 17 year old. Here’s the description in IMDB:

It's the summer of 1983, and precocious [delicious?] 17-year-old Elio Perlman is spending the days with his family at their 17th-century villa in Lombardy, Italy. He soon meets Oliver, a handsome doctoral student who's working as an intern for Elio's father. Amid the sun-drenched splendor of their surroundings, Elio and Oliver discover the heady beauty of awakening desire o ver the course of a summer that will alter their lives forever.
Here’s Greydanus in all of his glory:

Of course, Greydanus isn’t the only one.

The Pope Knew But He Lies

Edit: so far there’s been no word from ++ Seán of Boston, who heads the Commission for the Protection of Minors, has not been available for comment about the letter he passed on to the Pope detailing abuse and a coverup by Barros, whom he vehemently defended on his South America trip and even accused the accusers of lying. It is he who lies like the Father of lies.

It looks like it’s OK to sexually abuse children if you’re part of Bergoglio’s agenda. He will even lie to defend you.

VATICAN CITY (AP) — Pope Francis received a victim’s letter in 2015 that graphically detailed how a priest sexually abused him and how other Chilean clergy ignored it, contradicting the pope’s recent insistence that no victims had come forward to denounce the cover-up, the letter’s author and members of Francis’ own sex- abuse commission have told The Associated Press.

The fact that Francis received the eight-page letter, obtained by the AP, challenges his insistence that he has “zero tolerance” for sex abuse and cover-ups. It also calls into question his stated empathy with abuse survivors, compounding the most serious crisis of his five-year papacy.

The scandal exploded last month when Francis’ trip to South America was marred by protests over his vigorous defense of Bishop Juan Barros, who is accused by victims of witnessing and ignoring the abuse by the Rev. Fernando Karadima. During the trip, Francis callously dismissed accusations against Barros as “slander,” seemingly unaware that victims had placed Barros at the scene of Karadima’s crimes.

Twin Mexican Priests Gunned Down at Candlemas

MEXICO CITY (CNS) -- Two priests were gunned down as they returned from Candlemas celebrations in a corner of Mexico rife with drug cartel violence and increasingly lethal for prelates.

Fathers Ivan Anorve Jaimes and Germain Muniz Garcia were killed early Feb. 5 as they drove between the cities of Taxco and Iguala in Guerrero state, some 100 miles south of Mexico City.

Guerrero state officials say an armed group blocked the priests' van and opened fire. The priests were traveling with four other passengers, all of whom were injured.

Bergoglian Complains About “Toxic” Attitudes About Sodomy

Edit: naturally he means himself.

February 7, 2018 (LifeSiteNews) — San Diego Bishop Robert McElroy said recently that there is “repugnant” and “corrosive” bigotry toward individuals identifying as LGBT on the part of “a group of people across all religious views.”
This “particularly antagonistic” regard for LGBT individuals by people in this group generates from the depths of the souls, Bishop McElroy said. It is a reality that must be faced and one that is “incompatible with what we hope to be as a church.”
The bishop was cited and quoted by New York Times columnist Frank Bruni for a recent “The Scariest Catholic in America” op-ed that focused on another Catholic venue rescinding a speaking engagement from controversial Jesuit Father James Martin.

Decadent Pornokardinal Marx Endorses Aberromarriage

.- The president of the German Bishops’ Conference has declared that, in his view, Catholic priests can conduct blessing ceremonies for homosexual couples.
Cardinal Reinhard Marx told the Bavarian State Broadcasting’s radio service that “there can be no rules” about this question. Rather, the decision of whether a homosexual union should receive the Church’s blessing should be up to “a priest or pastoral worker” and made in each individual case, the German prelate stated.
Speaking on Feb. 3, on the occasion of his 10th anniversary as Archbishop of Munich and Freising, Cardinal Marx was asked why "the Church does not always move forward when it comes to demands from some Catholics about, for instance, the ordination of female deacons, the blessing of homosexual couples, or the abolition of compulsory [priestly] celibacy."

Adieu, Humanae Vitae

[Magister] Goodbye, “Humanae Vitae.” Half a century later, the encyclical against artificial methods of birth control that marked the most dramatic moment of the pontificate of Paul VI, rejected by entire episcopates, contested by countless theologians, disobeyed by myriads of faithful, is now giving way to a radical reinterpretation, to a “paradigm shift” undoubtedly desired and encouraged by Pope Francis himself.
Paradox would have it that Paul VI should be the pope whom Jorge Mario Bergoglio admires and praises the most. And precisely - his own words - for the “prophetic brilliance” with which he wrote that encyclical and for his “courage in standing up against the majority, in defending moral discipline, in applying a cultural brake, in opposing neo-Malthusianism present and future.”
But the reality is that “everything depends on how ‘Humanae Vitae’ is interpreted,” as Pope Francis never fails to comment. Because “the question is not that of changing doctrine, but of digging deep and making sure that pastoral practice takes into account the situations and what persons are able to do.”

Remind You of Anyone?

From Titus

There are also many disobedient, vain talkers, and seducers: especially they who are of the circumcision: Who must be reproved, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake. One of them a prophet of their own, said, The Cretians are always liars, evil beasts, slothful bellies. This testimony is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith; Not giving heed to Jewish fables and commandments of men, who turn themselves away from the truth. All things are clean to the clean: but to them that are defiled, and to unbelievers, nothing is clean: but both their mind and their conscience are defiled. They profess that they know God: but in their works they deny him; being abominable, and incredulous, and to every good reprobate.

Bergolian Purge Claims Traditional Trappist Abbey in Austria

Edit: it looks like the Thomas Merton types in the Monastery got their way at last.

[GloriaTV] The old-rite Trappist abbey of Mariawald, Germany, will be closed down. The Vatican, the Trappist order, and the Diocese of Aachen on whose territory the abbey is located, have announced this in Mariawald.

The monastery was inhabited by the Trappists since 1909. All employees lose their jobs. The monks will be transferred to other monasteries.

During this year, the monastery and all its possessions will be handed over to Aachen diocese. The monastery and church of Mariawald will probably remain closed forever.

In a letter dated November 21, 2008, Benedict XVI granted the abbey the privilege to return to the old usages of the Trappist Order in liturgy and monastic life. This concerned especially a return to the venerable Old Rite. The pope saw this project as a "renewal of the church in the spirit of tradition". Now this renewal is over before it could get off the ground.

Pope Accuses Chileans of Slander

Backing up Bishop Barros, accused of knowing his mentor's sex crimes - "Not a single piece of evidence"

Iquique (kath.net/KAP) Pope Francis has defended the Chilean Bishop Juan Barros, who was attacked in connection with an abuse scandal. There is "not a single piece evidence" against him, said Francis on his last visit to Chile on Thursday. "Everything is slander, is that clear?" Said the Pope. Francis spoke at a service in Iquique. It was the final Mass of his four-day visit to Chile.

"On the day on when I am presented with proof against Bishop Barros, I will speak," said Francis on the question of a local reporter. Barros is accused of having known of sexual offenses of the priest Fernando Karadima. There is no evidence to date.

The now 87-year-old Karadima, once one of Chile's most prominent Catholic clergy, was convicted of abuse in 2011. Barros was one of the spiritual disciples of Karadima. Pope Francis appointed Barros in early 2015 from the chief military bishop to the shepherd of the small diocese of Osorno in southern Chile. Francis’ personnel decision also drew criticism.

The debate over Barros and his appearances at events with Francis lasted throughout the Pope’s stay in Chile.

The Great Pio Nono Did Nothing Wrong

Edit: he did the right thing in removing a baptized Catholic from a Jewish household, where he could be raised in the faith and given a good education. There's a lot of controversy in some Catholic circles over this issue, and we can only say that they must be hiding their Catholic principles for fear of the Jews.

It was Pius' duty to take care of his people, especially a lost sheep whom he raised. And of course, there is no salvation outside of the Catholic Church.

San Antonio Archbishop Lashes Out at Faithful Nuns

We've been told that the Poor Clares [resident at Our Lady of the Atonement, an Anglican-use Catholic parish] is suffering petty retaliation from new San Antonio Archbishop Gustavo García-Siller  [because of the recent transfer of the parish to the Anglican-use Catholic Ordinariate].

The story originally appeared in the parish blog Atonement Online, but has been taken down. We can only guess why. Whatever happened to that whole Vatican II thing about us being adults who could decide for ourselves what's right? What is the current set in charge of things these days so afraid of?

Germans Have Little Faith in the Catholic Church -- Pope's Popularity Declines

Edit: Imagine my shock. You would think that Marx's big push to legitimize mortal sin would make him and his confreres MORE, not less popular.

Germans consider television more trustworthy than the Catholic Church. In a survey, it is only in the rear midfield among 26 institutions. Trust in the pope also decreases.

Statistics | Bonn - 04.01.2018 According to a survey, Germans do not trust the Catholic Church with great confidence. Among 26 "non-political institutions," the Catholic Church in a study by the opinion research institute forsa for the television station RTL and ntv is only ranked 18th At 27 percent, however, it improved compared to the previous year by one percentage point. Here, the perception in West and East Germany deviates strongly from each other. For example, only 13 percent of East Germans give their trust to the Catholic Church; by contrast, 30 percent among the West Germans.

The Protestant church increased by two percentage points to 48 percent, ranking it in 13th place. In West Germany, 50 percent of the respondents trust them, in eastern Germany 34 percent.

Confidence in the pope, on the other hand, declined significantly last year. He is trusted by 54 percent of the respondents, which represents a decrease of 6 percentage points compared to 2016 and means 9th place in the current ranking. Here too, West and East Germany deviate strongly from each other. The pope enjoys, according to the data, 40 percent of the East Germans' trust, but 57 percent of West Germans.

Islam lost the most confidence

The strongest loss of confidence was recorded by Islam. It fell in the "trust ranking" from 25 percent in the previous year to 9 percent. That means rank 24. Behind it lie only managers with 6 per cent and advertising agencies with 5 per cent. Forsa boss Manfred Güllne believes Islamist attacks are responsible this low value for Islam.

37 percent of the respondents trusted the Central Council of Jews, three percentage points less than in 2016. The "trust ranking" is headed by the police, universities, doctors and their own employers. The media in the form of radio, press and television had each suffered 4 percentage point losses. According to the poll, 56 percent of Germans trust in the radio (8th place), the press comes to 40 percent (15th place), the television 28 percent (17th place).

The survey took place between December 15 and 20, with 2,307 people polled. (Well / KNA)

Pope Francis Visits Controversial Manger

(Rome) At the end of the year, Pope Francis, as is customary in tradition, sought the great nativity scene in St. Peter's Square after Vespers and Te DeumThere he welcomed a number of personalities, this was a rare encounter.
The crib has been the focus of irritation and polemics in recent weeksIt is meant to present the seven bodily works of mercy this year and is a gift of the Benedictine abbey on the Montevergine in Campania. Displeasure caused a homoerotic connotation that some see in it. This is a perception reinforced by the jubilation and satisfaction of homosexual organizations. On Christmas Eve and on Christmas Day there had been femen attacks on the crib. A "sextremist", as the female militants of Femen describe themselves, who are often recruited from the Red milieu, tore the baby Jesus from the crib and threw him to the ground.

Francis welcomes Cardinal Castrillon Hoyos

Pope Francis greeted various people around the Nativity scene, said Vatican News,. the new news platform of the Holy See, included a video with the picture. Among those welcomed by the pope was a senior church representative, who had not appeared in public for a long time, much less in the close circle of Pope Francis.
On December 31, the now 88-year-old Darío Cardinal Castrillón Hoyos appeared in St. Peter's Square. The canon lawyer was appointed Bishop of Pereira in 1976 by Pope Paul VI.In 1982, Pope John Paul II made the appointment as Archbishop of Bucaramanga. After the Archbishop had helped to publish the new Catechism of the Catholic Church, John Paul II summoned him to Rome in 1996 and appointed him Prefect of the Congregation of ClergyIn 1998 he created him a cardinal.
In 2006, Pope Benedict XVI replaced him. at the head of the Congregation of Clergy with Cardinal Claudio Hummes, one of the most curious personnel decisions of that pontificate. From 2000 to 2009, Cardinal Castrillon Hoyos was President of the Pontifical Commission Ecclesia Dei for the Church's traditional communities. Since 2008 he is cardinal priest. For reasons of age, he could no longer attend the conclave of 2013.

Gregory the Great and Christmas in the Year 590

At the beginning of his pontificate, Pope Gregory the Great delivered his first sermon on Adventus, the coming of the Lord, speaking of the Second Coming, the Second Coming of Jesus Christ as Judge.
By Roberto de Mattei *
It was in December of the year 590. One hundred years had passed since the fall of the Roman Empire in the west (476 AD). Another three centuries would pass before the Restauratio Imperii, where the re-establishment of the Christian Empire would be possible in the year 800. The Italian peninsula had been devastated by the armies of the Byzantines, the Goths and the Lombards. In the late spring, the Lombard armies, led by King Agilulf, stood at the gates of the Eternal City. Everywhere there were traces of disaster and tribulation. On the chair of Peter sat a Roman, Gregory I, the descendant of an old senatorial family. His predecessor, Pelagius, had been killed by a terrible plague raging in the city of Rome. The war, hunger, and disease plagued the country, as has happened so often in history.
On the second Sunday of Advent, at the beginning of his pontificate, the Pope delivered his first sermon on the Gospels. He described the calamity of his time and linked it with the passage in Luke 21: 25-33, where Jesus speaks to his disciple of the signs of the end times:
And there shall be signs in the sun, moon and stars, and on earth the nations will be dismayed and perplexed by the raging and thundering of the sea.
People will die of fear in the expectation of things coming over the earth; for the powers of heaven will be shaken.
Then the Son of Man will be seen coming on a cloud with great power and glory.
When that begins, straighten up and raise your heads; because your salvation is near.
And he made a similitude and said: Look at the fig tree and the other trees: as
soon as you notice that they bring forth their fruit, you know that the summer is near.
Similarly, you should know when you (all) see this happening, that the kingdom of God is near.
Amen, I tell you: this generation will not pass until everything arrives.
Heaven and earth will pass, but my words will not pass away.
The pope said:
"The Lord and our Savior, dear Brothers, announce the evils which the declining world will meet, because he will find us ready, to stop us loving them. He reveals to us the scourges that announce the coming of the End, because we fear God not in peace, so that we at least fear the approaching judgment, even under the weight of the evils that are breaking over us. The reading of the Holy Gospel, which you, brethren, have just heard was sent by the Lord just before: 'One people will rise up against the other, and one kingdom against the other. One people will rise up against the other and one kingdom against the other. There will be tremendous earthquakes and in many places plagues and famines; terrible things will happen and in the sky you will see huge signs."
Gregory the Great (590-604)
The end of the world, which the Pope called for reflection, is not only the end of history, the parousia, the second return of Jesus Christ on earth, to repay everyone according to his works, and to establish the heavenly Jerusalem. It is also the end of a certain historical epoch which is judged and punished by the Lord for their sins. In this sense, the downfall of Jerusalem is both an allusion to the end of the world and all the punishments God has always used to punish humankind: wars, epidemics, hunger and natural disasters. Any punishment is a preliminary interpretation of the Final Tribunal, and any act of faithfulness to God in times of crisis is an allusion to the testimony that the elect have given to God in the time of the Antichrist.
"We see tribulations in our day that is coming all over the country. Often we have received news from other parts of the known world of earthquakes that are destroying countless cities. We endure the plague without end. We do not yet openly see extraordinary signs of sun and moon and stars, but by changing the air we can sense that they are not far off. Before Italy was handed over to the foreign sword, we saw flaming lightning in the sky, like the living blood of the human race that was to be shed. "
Because of this terrible calamity, the Pope called for the head to be raised, the hearts lifted, and the spirit lifted to the joys of the heavenly home.
"Those who love God must rejoice and rejoice over the end of the world, for surely they will soon meet those whom they love, while the world soon passes away that they have not loved. Therefore it should not be that the believer, who urges to see God, weeps over the scourges of the world, which he knows to be destined to end among them. It is therefore written: Whoever wants to be a friend of the world, makes himself an enemy of God. So who does not rejoice over the approaching end of the world, shows to be her friend, and has proven to be an enemy of God. Those who have planted their roots of the heart in their love for her, those who seek no future life, and those who can not even imagine such a life cry for the destruction of the world. "
Gregory the Great recalled the words of the gospel:
"'Heaven and earth will pass, but my words will not pass away.' It is as if he would openly say that whatever sustains you has no endurance for eternity, while all that is seen passing by remains the same and unchanging, as my passing word pronounces truths that remain and without change. Therefore, my brothers, we experience the fulfillment of what we have heard. The world is being driven down every day by new and greater evils. You yourself can see how many there are left of an innumerable population. Every day we are plagued by new scourges, sudden suffering oppresses us, new and unforeseen catastrophes plague us. Therefore, my brothers, do not love this world, which you can see will not last long. Keep in heart the apostolic commandments with which the Lord admonishes us by saying: Do not love the world and not the things of this world! If one loves the world, the love of the Father is not with him. "
The Pope recalled how a few days earlier in Rome some ancient trees had been knocked down by a cyclone:
"We have to keep in mind that the invisible judge, in order to put these things into practice, moved the breeze of a gentle wind and from a single cloud igniting a storm that shook the earth and numerous buildings to their foundations, so that they were almost made ruins. So what will this Judge do when He Himself comes and His wrath is inflamed in the punishment of sins, when we are unable to bear it when He met us through a harmless cloud? Paul says, looking at the strictness of the judge who is about to come: it is terrible to fall into the hands of the living God. Therefore, dear brothers, keep that day in mind, and what seems grave to you now will be easy for you in comparison. What shall we say of the terrible events of which we are witnesses, if not that they are messengers of the future wrath? It is necessary to see that the present ones are distinct from that extreme tribulation in proportion as the power of the heralds differs from that of the Judge. So remember, dearest brothers, with the utmost attention to that day, change your life, change your behavior, conquer the temptations of evil with all your strength, and punish the sins committed with your tears. You will recognize the coming of the Eternal Judge at the right moment the more you prepare yourself for it today in fear of its severity."
With these words, the Holy Pope Gregory the Great prepared the citizens of Rome in December 590 for Christmas. This is how many of the greatest shepherds spoke in the darkest ages of humanity. Their voice penetrates from a distance to us like the light of a distant star illuminating the darkness of the night, proclaiming in our hearts and in society, the birth of the Divine Savior.

Cardinal Müller Denies He is an Antagonist to the Pope

Cardinal Müller does not want to be stylized as a pope's adversary "I'm not an antipode to the Pope on principle, and certainly not from an ideological point of view, whether it's called conservative or progressive, right or left"

Hamburg (www.kath.net)
The German Cardinal Gerhard Ludwig Müller does not want to become a pope's rival, according to the Pope Francis' recent criticism of the Curia. In present "time" Müller said, "In no case, would I like to be styled in the German press to a rival of the Pope!" After the Pope's Christmas address there was speculation that Francis meant especially Müller as confidant of the former Pope Benedict XVI. [Who recently praised him in the Herald.] To the unusually clear criticism of Francis to intrigues in the Vatican, Müller says: "In any case, intrigues and plots are incompatible with the professional honor of a clergyman."

Müller himself had to resign from the office of Prefect of Faith last summer. In addition he said that at the time, he was surprised, "because neither objective nor subjective reasons were mentioned." He admits that he criticized the Pope's style, but: "It was not about me, I had protected three of the best collaborators in my congregation, who had been dismissed without notice, without any reason, if that was improper or unwise I am a priest and not a courtier, Basta!"

He does not see himself as Francis' conservative antagonist: "I'm not an antipode to the pope in principle, and certainly not from an ideological point of view, be it conservative or progressive, right or left." Pope Francis is neither liberal nor conservative and does not need an opponent, neither conservative nor progressive."

Cardinal Maradiaga Financial Scandal: Pope Has Ordered Investigation

(Rome) Last Thursday was not very pleasant for all those present in the Sala Clementina of the Apostolic Palace, and really not desirable for anyone.
For the curia workers, because they had to anticipate, the new "gift" of a renewed chastisement from the Pope for ChristmasBut also for Pope Francis, because on the same morning the weekly magazine L'Espresso (comparable to the Spiegel/Time Magazine) with a dossier of one of the closest pope confidants and personal friends, the Honduran Cardinal Oscar Rodriguez Maradiaga, this was anything but good.

Cathedral of Tegucigalpa

While Francis did in the Sala Clementina, that which the Curials had already feared - bludgeoning them for the fifth year in a row, talking about "traitors," "intrigues," "disloyalty," and "cancerous ulcers," was one of his own closest advisers in the spotlight of a "new scandal", as L'Espresso wrote.
The weekly magazine revealed that Cardinal Maradiaga, Archbishop of Tegucigalpa in Honduras, was president of Caritas International and co-ordinator of the C9 Cardinal Council wanted by Francis in Rome, to make extra payments to his official remuneration.

600,000 extra and the "disappeared" millions

As archbishop, he is automatically also the Grand Chancellor of the local Catholic University. As such, Maradiaga had to pay nearly $ 600,000 annually from the university in recent years. More than 41,000 dollars or the equivalent of 35,000 euros flowed additionally monthly in return for nothing in Maradiagas pockets. In the month of December, he even paid himself out more than $ 60,000 as a Christmas bonus. Whoever can will. Maradiaga could because he is in the requisite power position.
The matter is generally extremely unpleasant for Pope Francis, who is particularly concerned about his own image. The thing is very dire because, since the beginning of the pontificate of Francis, Maradiaga has not only acted as a kind of vice-pope, especially in Latin America, but is also one of the most vociferous advocates of a "poor Church for the poor." At the same time he maintained a link to the restless globalist US multi-billionaire George Soros.
Maradiaga's pauperism has turned out to be a mere frippery with the L'Espresso piece. An action of the Pope was unavoidable with his Christmas scolding of the curia and the Maradiaga dossier.

Pope orders investigations - Cardinal Maradiaga not mentioned

As Vatican spokesman Greg Burke announced on the 24th of December, Pope Francis had "personally" arranged investigations into "alleged irregularities in the Archdiocese of Tegucigalpa," said EFE [A Spanish international news agency created in 1939 by Spain's former minister of the press and propaganda Ramón Serrano Súñer and Manuel Aznar Zubigaray].

Auxiliary Bishop Pineda

Burke did not make a direct connection with Maradiaga. According to L'Espresso, the "irregularities" do not concern the extra payments made to the Cardinal, but rather "conspicuous" millions of euros in money transfer, for which the Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese, Juan Jose Pineda, is responsible.
It was also unequivocally implied that Pineda could hardly effect the money transfers without the knowledge of Cardinal Maradiaga. This was probably even done on his behalf. They are related to London financial services providers, including Leman Wealth ManagementThe millions were deposited in German banks. Part of the money should now be "gone".
According to Vatican spokesman Greg Burke, the Pope has given the order to go in search of the money.
Cardinal Maradiaga positioned himself last spring as a potential successor to Pope Francis. This should be, as much as can be foreseen at least now, no longer the case.
